Jan 15, 2026. OpenRules Release 11.2.0 introduces Decision Playground, a powerful interactive component of the OpenRules Decision Intelligence Platform. Decision Playground enables business users to visually experiment with decision scenarios, compare multiple alternatives, and find optimal solutions—all without requiring changes to underlying decision models. OpenRules Release 11.2.0 comes with an improved Decision Model Explorer, which now includes an additional menu button for the creation of new decision models:

When you click on this button, you will have several choices for building new decision models:

  1. Simple Decision Model with predefined simple decision tables that can be customized by a user:

2. Decision Model created by Rule Learner based on historical data presented in the selected CSV-file:

It will generate a working decision model similar to the one described in this RuleLearner example. The generated model will be displayed graphically directly in the OpenRules Explorer. You will be able to test it, modify, debug, and deploy.
