September 18, 2025. OpenRules Release 11.1.0 introduces an essentially enhanced version of OpenRules Machine Learning component known as “Rule Learner“. Now it can generate working decision models based only on a set of problem examples. Subject matter expert can use a simple graphical interface that looks as below:

They provide the name and location of their desired decision model and select an CSV file with samples of their business problem. Rule Learner generates a working decision model with different variants of business rules and test data. The business glossary will be generated automatically as well.
The example “Lenses” demonstrates the generation of a simple decision model. The example “Credits” shows how a user can define filtering rules to filter problem samples and generate multiple decision models from the same set of examples.

You may install Rule Learner for free and use it together with an evaluation version of OpenRules 11.1.0. You will be able to generate several decision models using the provided CSV files with sample, and start generating your own decision models.
