July 18, 2025. OpenRules Release 11.0.0 supports new features added to Rule Learner, Rule Solver, and Rule DB. Now we have a unified website OpenRules.com for all OpenRules products with convenient product-specific sidebars.
This release simplifies OpenRules installation process. Now you simply download a single file:
- OpenRulesDecisionManager_11.0.0.zip (for Windows) or
- OpenRulesDecisionManager_11.0.0.tar.gz (for Mac/Linux) file)
After download and unzip, you receive the installation folders:
As in previous releases, to install the latest version of the OpenRules Platform, you need to open the folder “openrules.config” and double-click on “install.bat” (or run “install” if you use Unix or Mac). All other folders include various examples and documents:
- openrules.demo: different variations of the VacationDays project with examples of various deployment options
- openrules.samples: more than 50 sample projects that demonstrate various OpenRules decision modeling capabilities
- openrules.doc: user manuals and the license agreement
- openrules.learner: samples of the advanced Rule Learner that now can generate working decision models from a single CSV file with examples of input and expected output values
- openrules.solver: samples of the advanced Rule Solver including rules with probabilities
- openrules.db: samples of the advanced Rule DB including several new projects.
Please note that OpenRules 11.0.0 is not yet Long-Term-Support (LTS) release. If you are not interested in the new features, you may continue to use LTS releases 10.4.0 or 10.4.1.
